Travel and participation grants
The WCMB 2026 organising committee is proud to announce that several initiatives are preparing travel and/or participation grant offers for conference participants.
Detailed information on all these grants (eligibility, how and when to apply, selection procedure, ...) will become available early 2026.
Belgian National Decade Committee
The Belgian National Decade Committee is pleased to announce its support for the World Conference on Marine Biodiversity 2026 through a new round of participation grants designed to strengthen meaningful engagement and professional growth across the ocean science community.
These grants aim to ensure that Early Career Ocean Professionals (ECOPs) are well supported before, during and after the conference, helping them navigate opportunities, receive mentorship, and contribute meaningfully to global marine science dialogues.
These grants support not only attendance but also guided participation, ensuring that ECOPs are prepared, connected, and able to make the most of the conference experience.
Further details on eligible profiles, application procedures and timelines will be released in January 2026.
