Call for abstracts

Abstract submission will be open from 30 September 2025 until 17 March 2026 (23h59, CET).

We invite submissions for oral presentations and posters related to the themes and sessions of the World Conference on Marine Biodiversity 2026. All presentations (oral and poster) should be submitted to a session corresponding with your topic. Only 1 preferred session can be chosen. If you cannot find a session that is appropriate for your abstract, you can consider submitting it under the overall "general" session.

All theme and session information is available here. When you find an appropriate session, make sure you have the session number ready for reference during your abstract submission. You will need to identify your preferred session in the abstract submission form. All submissions will be evaluated by a review committee and the session organizers, for inclusion in a specific session. The submission of an abstract is no guarantee for acceptance in the session to which you submit, nor the chosen format (oral or poster) for your abstract.

The abstract submission form provides a step-by-step guide, including required information indicated by a red asterisk.
